Will Ego work on my phone?
Ego uses RCS in your messages app on compatible iPhone and Android devices. The alpha is for US numbers and adults 18 or older. We check compatibility before you join the alpha.
If you choose to join the alpha, you'll receive a tester invitation in your messages. Accept it to start talking to Ego. Availability can vary by carrier.
How often will Ego text me?
You choose how often Ego texts first during setup. Ego respects your quiet hours. You can ask for fewer texts, change your hours, or ask it to drop a topic. Text PAUSE to take a break, RESUME to return, or STOP to end messages.
Can I see what Ego remembers?
Yes. At the end of setup, Ego sends an “Open my Mind View” link in your conversation. It opens your private page in a browser, showing what Ego remembers, nightly reflections, upcoming follow-ups, and recent decisions. You can ask Ego to stop following a topic.
What happens to my data?
Your messages are processed by our AI and messaging providers to run Ego. We don't sell them or use them for advertising. Text DELETE MY DATA, then CONFIRM DELETE, to delete your account data. See the privacy policy for what we store and who processes it.
Does Ego cost anything?
Joining the waitlist is free. If you later choose to join the founder alpha, there is a $20 refundable deposit. No recurring charge during the alpha. Future pricing hasn't been set. See the alpha terms for refunds and details.
